The second collective event for the men’s and women’s alpine skiing World Cup teams takes place as they convene during the week between Monday 19 and Saturday 24 June at the CONI Olympic Training Centre in Formia. Like in any Olympic year, the coming competitive season promises to be long and important, and the training staff of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) therefore intend to enhance the athletic training. Coaches Matteo Guadagnini and Massimo Carca want to manage every aspect in the best way in order to limit injuries as much as possible and work on prevention.
The series of dry tests scheduled for next week’s gathering will assist the assessment of the athletes’ physical condition after this first stage of summer training. The sports director Max Rinaldi has gathered together Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone, Elena Curtoni, Elena Fanchini, Nadia Fanchini, Nicol Delago, Verena Gasslitter, Sofia Goggia, Francesca Marsaglia, Roberta Midali, Laura Pirovano, Johanna Schnarf, Federica Sosio and Verena Stuffer, as well as Henri Battilani, Guglielmo Bosca, Emanuele Buzzi, Mattia Casse, Luca De Aliprandini, Stefano Gross, Matteo Marsaglia, Simon Maurberger, Manfred Moelgg, Roberto Nani, Giuliano Razzoli, Tommaso Sala and Riccardo Tonetti.
The head of athletic training Roberto Manzoni, the athletic trainers Giuseppe Abruzzini, Ruggero Muzzarelli, Marcello Tavola, Damiano Scolari, Luca Scarian, Andrea Viano and the coaches Gianluca Rulfi, Luca Liore and Alberto Sugliano will also be in Formia (FISI photo).
