He turned 20 in January but when it comes to luge tobogganing he already looks like a veteran. He has always set his sights high and managed to astonish: in 2016, after just turning 18, he earned himself - in the team race - a bronze medal in the second edition of the Olympic Youth Games in Lillehammer, as well as a fifth place in the singles event. Last season, together with Ivan Nagler, he made the overall junior World Cup standings in the doubles event, thanks to a splendid collection of seasonal podiums: six in as many events, enhanced by the Calgary achievement. On 7 January 2018 he achieved his first senior World Cup victory in the Koenigssee team relay.
