Cross-country skiing has always been a passion shared with his friends and in particular with his cousins of the Clementi family. The Alta Valtellina Ski Club gave him the possibility of competing in his first races, in Elementary School. When he was small, he met Manuela Di Centa, who advised him to treasure the rules of the sport to grow on a human level as well. The youngest of 5 children, after losing his father when he was young, he made family attachment his other reason for living, also devoting himself to agricultural activities which were continued by his parent. He has many hobbies including climbing and playing cards. He likes to take trips in the mountains with his friends and is part of an Alpine rescue group.
