He lives in Sarre, Val d'Aosta, where the former Italian athlete René Laurent Vuillermoz was born and thanks to the local ski club, after initially dedicating himself to cross-country skiing, he had the opportunity to try the biathlon, a specialty he has always loved.
After winning the competition for admission to the Army, he began to think about his career as a protagonist. Before the beginning of this season, his goal was the Anterselva 2020 World Championships, but thanks to the historic second place won in the relay in the Oberhof World Cup, he now has the opportunity to live his Olympic dream.
