Biography
With a hair tie as a good luck charm, ‘Varioz’ (as he is nicknamed) is ready to fulfil his dream: to take part in the PyeongChang Olympics “with a performance worth remembering.” Engaged to Giada Andreutti, a member of Italy’s national under-23 discus team, he became interested in bobsleighing on the advice of a friend. He graduated as a technician from the Pordenone State Industrial Technical School and is studying electronic engineering at the University of Udine. Yet in amongst his exams, the Korean track is awaiting him.
