Biography

He began leading bobsleighs aged 16. Before becoming a pilot, he was primarily devoted to skiing. Bobsleighing and skiing: “similar trajectories”, but it is only when you are zooming down on the track that you “hear the whistle of the air and feel the pressure on the bends.” In his spare time, he goes skiing or plays ice hockey with friends, whilst in summer he spends his free time at the lake. After winning the two-man bobsleigh gold medal at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck in 2012, he is working towards an Olympic experience amongst the ‘grown ups’. On the Korean track, the Italian athlete from Falzes conducted the tests for the track’s homologation: he is very familiar with the road to the PyeongChang 2018 finish line.
