Biography
For friends and the white circus he is simply "Didi"; for the world he is a jewel in the crown of the Italian cross-country skiing team: the recent medal won in Lahti in tandem with Pellegrino in the team sprint - which repeated the feat of 2015 in Falun – legitimized his lead role in Italian and international sport. In the past he has played soccer, table tennis and ice hockey, and is engaged to fellow-athlete, Ilaria Debertolis, with whom he dreams of setting up a family. He always competes with a cap on his head, which he prefers to a headband, is fond of tennis and gets excited watching Federer play tennis.
