The knee injury has made her row wiser and able to become the first Italian to win the snowboard cross World Cup (to which she added a second place obtained in the 2016/2017 edition). Her mother owns a parquet-flooring company, dad works in the mountain community, while she's the girl-next-door who's become a champion herself. From Bergamo like her friend Sofia Goggia, though she has won bronze medals in Kreischberg in 2015 and Sierra Nevada in 2017, she would never dream of leaving her hometown of Alzano. She does not like to fly, but her desire to compete brought her to Korea. As a child, on losing a game of cards while playing with her father she would throw a tantrum. Although those days are now a distant memory, her desire to win remains the same.
