Biography
His name, Omar, came to his father in a dream and was a winning linguistic compromise between the two parents, one an Italian teacher in a catering college, the other with a past as German teacher in an elementary school. He began skiing when he was six years old and during a winter-sports holiday he discovered snowboarding, which he has never left since, also suspending his economics studies during the course of his career. He likes surfing, kite-surfing and kayaking down rivers, as well as playing the guitar, especially classic country music. And he hopes to play a winning tune on the slopes.
