Biography
He was born in Silandro, though he has family ties with Monte San Giovanni Campano, which recently appointed him as a spokesman for local excellence at international level. Former Junior world champion, he won the first stage of the World Cup in Winterberg in 2016. His parents, especially his father Emilio, have always sustained his competitive activities: today, he is proud of his sister, who has followed in his footsteps, winning her first two competitions at junior level. He was engaged for some years to fellow-athlete, Nadya Ochner, and the two are still friends. In November, he broke the Achilles tendon of his left leg during training, but came back again in record time. He likes hiking and biking, besides travelling.
