Biography
He is a perfectionist of skiing and the highlander of the Italian team. At 34 years, 7 months and 4 days of age, he became the oldest Italian winner of a slalom Cup race, specialty in which he won the Cup in 2008. His success is due in part to his brother Micheal and perhaps to the advice of his sister Manuela, an Italian skier, whom he meets before each race. For him, the family is of great importance and he never forgets his origins and his hometown of San Vigilio di Marebbe, where he learned to ski. Following his injury to the Achilles tendon, which in 2014 seemed to be ending his competitive days, he is back on skis. He refuses to give up and is ready to compete in his fourth Olympics.
