Biography

He's the third Italian downhill skier to have mastered the Streif and the first to have raised the specialty World Cup two consecutive times (2016 and 2017). He already has two world championship medals (a silver in super-G in Val d’Isère 2009 and a bronze in the super combined in Garmish 2011) . He also has a wife (Manuela), two sons (Leon and Noah) and statue made of chestnut wood installed in the cable-car station of Seiser Alm. Not bad for someone who, after finishing school, began a career as a mechanic. A Juventus fan, he loves sports and plays football with friends. Since becoming a father for the second time he's found the peace and tranquillity that allows him to go faster. He lives his third Olympics as a protagonist.
