Biography
He is partnered with Charlène Guignard, both in life and on the ice, thanks to a website that puts ice skaters in touch and enabled the two athletes to experience their chemistry in Brest. Today the indestructible duo is coached by Barbara Fusar Poli. His early partners were Stefania Berton and Paola Amati, his idols are Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, “the couple who revolutionised the sport of ice dancing”, and let’s not forget his admiration for Oksana Grishuk and Eugeny Platov. He is fluent in four languages, studied foreign languages and literature and when he gets on the ice he loves to tell beautiful, exciting and, at times, poignant stories, such as “Schindler’s List”.
