Biography
Following various achievements in two-man bobsleighing on the Italian scene (together with Costantino Ughi), the Italian athlete from Santo Stefano di Cadore is also developing as a pilot, after several seasons as a brakeman, in the wake of Simone Bertazzo, an icon of Italian bobsleighing. In his youth, his father was part of the cross-country skiing national team, ‘Jimmy’; however, he became interested in bobsleighing through a teammate who noticed him at school. At Sochi 2014, he secured 14th place in the two-man bobsleighing event and 18th place in the four-man bobsleighing event. Now he is coming back to the Olympics to improve on his placings. In his spare time, he reads lots and carves wood. A good result in Korea would remain carved into his memory.
