Biography

She did cross-country skiing for years, before she joined the brood of female athletes led by Moroder, the coach who invented women’s jumping in 2002 and convinced a group of promising female athletes to start ski jumping. At the end of her career she would like to teach the secrets of the sport to children, explaining to them that there’s no room for fear up there, as you touch the sky. Her father is a traffic policeman and her mother is a support teacher. She made history as the first Italian athlete to win a medal at the World Championships in Oslo in 2011. In her spare time, she loves reading books by Ken Follett.
