Biography
She is the second of the three Italian Fanchini sisters. Like Elena and Sabrina, she was encouraged to take up skiing by her father Sandro, who has been in charge of the ski lifts of Montecampione, near Brescia, for a lifetime. Her motto is "never give up and continue to have faith" and she abides by it literally: each time, after an injury, she has always got up again and, during her career, she has won two world downhill medals (a bronze medal at Val d'Isere 2009 and a silver medal at Schladming 2013). “Vado al Massimo” (Give it all you’ve got) is not only the title of a song by Vasco Rossi, her favourite singer, but also her goal for Pyeongchang 2018.
