CONI - The Italian National Olympic Committee is responsible for processing the data gathered, and it is based in Rome, Largo Lauro de Bosis 15- 00135.

Type of data processed.

(I) Browsing data.

During their normal operation, the information systems and software devoted to the functioning of the website gather some personal data whose transmission is implicit within the use of network communication protocols; such information is not gathered to be associated to customers, but, due to its very nature, if associated with other data held by third parties can allow the user to be identified. In particular, the following fall in the above category: IP address data (the numeric tag that unambiguously identifies a host device connected to an information network using the internet protocol), the domain names of the computers that connect to the site and, more generally, the parameters relating to the user’s operative system and computer environment.

Such data are only used to obtain anonymous statistical information on website use and/or to verify its operation and will be cancelled after being processed; therefore, they will be kept for a length of time that does not go beyond the time necessary for the purposes for which they have been gathered.

Furthermore, it must be specified that such data could be used by Legal Authorities to investigate any IT crimes perpetrated against the site and its users.

Through the use of cookies, it is possible to record in a semi-permanent fashion information relating to the preferences of the user and other technical data that allow a more streamlined browsing experience and better ease of use (cookies can be used for example to determine if a connection between the user's PC and the CONI website has already been made, in order to highlight any updates or store login information).

As set out by the current privacy policy, consent is not required in order to install such cookies.
