A special double win for the Italians, allowing Fill to pull off this feat and to receive a second round of applause. For the second year in a row, Italian Fill has won the downhill World Cup after coming in second place (with a time of 1.33.15) in the final test of Aspen, which was dominated by the other Italian champion, Dominik Paris (1.33.07), who revelled in the joy of the day's victory.

The Italian resumed his place as king of downhill with 454 points against Jansrud’s 431.
