The President of the CONI, Giovanni Malagò, today received Federica Brignone, Peter Fill, and Dominik Paris at the Foro Italico. The 3 athletes, who belong to the Carabinieri Sports Team, visited the Sala delle Fiaccole, the Salone D'Onore and – after ideally retracing last season’s achievements – went on to talk about forthcoming competitive goals. Their sights are already set on the Winter Olympics, due to be staged in PyeongChang on 9-25 February 2018. Also taking part in the meeting was CONI Secretary General, Roberto Fabbricini.

Malagò said just how proud the Italian sport’s world was of the results achieved by Fill, winner of the World Cup downhill skiing competition for the second year running, by Paris, a total of six medals taken this season and winner of the downhill competition of Kitzbühel, as well as the final in Aspen, and by Federica Brignone, the athlete who won most World Cup competitions – 3 – in the historical 2016/2017 year, when the team gained 43 places on the podium thereby improving the record of 1996-1997, which marked up just 38.
