Biography
She is the star of Italian biathlon. She took up this sport in 2000 – prompted by her brothers – and after a world championship medal in the relay in 2013 and the bronze medal at Sochi 2014 she made formidable progress which resulted in her taking the silver medal in the Holmkollen 2016 pursuit (she is among the three Italian athletes in a position to take a world championship individual medal) and achieving her second individual World Cup victory in 2016 (the second Italian ever after Nathalie Santer in ’93-’94). She likes reading and eating – especially chocolate – and loves cycling. Before competitions she enjoys crochet. After falling in love, she left Brunico for the Val di Fiemme, and now dreams of becoming a mother.
