Biography
He grew up with the biathlon, thanks to his father who took him to the Anterselva stadium for the World Cup stage. His idols as a youngster were Pallhuber, Zingerle and Passler, who later became his mentors. He began competing when he was 10, while the big turning point came when he was 16 – at the Malles sports school in Val Venosta, he changed work method and laid the foundations to leave his mark. Olympic bronze medallist at Sochi in the medley relay, he follows in the footsteps of his brother Markus, without ever forgetting his passion for drawing. With a pencil in his hand he is as much a champion as on the slopes.
