When he was small, he cross-country skied with his father, then he joined the Ski Club Gardena, starting to participate in the first races. At ten years of age, looking at the ski jumps, he decided to try jumping and Romed Moroder suggested he try the Nordic Combined which immediately became his passion. His idol when he was young was the French Jason Lamy-Chappuis. Today, he follows and admires his team-mates Alessandro Pittin, who in Vancouver 2010 gave Italy the first Olympic medal in the sport, and Samuel Costa. He likes going out with his friends and has always dreamed of going to the Olympic Games.
