Biography
He made his debut in the Italian team when he was 31 after a long career marked by great humility, determination and priceless professionalism. Over the years he appreciated the characteristics of Renato Pasini, his training partner, and learned a lot by listening to the advice of others. His preparation also includes cycling and roller skiing, in addition to long walks in the mountains; in summer he often takes part in running competitions. He is fascinated by the figure, the charisma and the sense of humour of Pope Francis.
