Biography
Skating is his family’s passion. It was passed on to him by his father, Romolo, a European and World Champion in the sport who introduced him to it at three years old. The roller skater from San Benedetto was crowned Junior World Champion and won a bronze in the street marathon at the Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Nanjing 2016, but turned to the ice to pursue his Olympic dream and moved to Trentino, in turn sacrificing his mother’s cooking and outings with friends. He encourages the youngest to “always believe in yourselves, because if you do, you succeed in the end”. He followed his own advice, and is ready for a full-on Olympic experience in PyeongChang.
